On behalf of the entire Triathlon Canada Nation, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our friend, teammate and leader – Lori Ebbessen – who left us far too soon on December 26.
A former member of Triathlon Canada’s Board of Directors, Lori did some heavy lifting for our sport – not only in her home province of Saskatchewan, but across the country and around the world.
A race volunteer, provincial and national board member, and a national technical official, Lori helped with membership services, led financing and governance committees, was the secretary general of Triathlon Canada and was the secretary of World Triathlon’s Women’s Committee amongst her many volunteer roles.
Inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2017, Lori truly exemplified what it means to be a builder of sport.
More importantly, she was a wonderful person who was a friend to all she crossed paths with on and off the field of play. We will never forget Lori’s passion for our sport and her infectious smile.
