Mathis Beaulieu
Date of Birth: | July 12, 2004 |
Birth Place: | Quebec City, QC |
Residence: | Quebec City, QC |
One of the most promising young triathletes in the country, Mathis entered the sport of triathlon from playing soccer and skiing as a child. It was training and competing with friends in the three-sport discipline that really drove his passion to swim, bike and run.
What a great decision it was. Mathis enjoyed a golden run in 2022, winning five straight junior races including a senior win in Stockton, Missouri and two junior victories in Europe. He continued his electric pace into 2023 where he won a bronze medal at the World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships in Hamburg, Germany. He also reached the bronze medal step of the Americas Triathlon Mixed Relay Championships in Huatulco, was second at the Americas Triathlon Cup in Ixtapa and captured three individual victories including the National Championship title in Montreal.
Mathis loves watching all sports on television. He’s always up for a good party trick where he will break out his dance moves, but admittedly sometimes pushes too hard and hurts himself. He attends Cegep Garneau where he studies social sciences. He plans to go to Laval University to balance his pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. He also enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with friends.
