Only two years later, she was first introduced to triathlon with the Tri-O-Lacs Triathlon Club, and has worked her way through the system starting when she was nine on the provincial circuit, competing in Quebec Cup races until she was 15.
Emy has been on a steady development curve, competing in Quebec Summer Games in 2010, a regular on the National Triathlon Series, competed in three Junior Pan American Championship races and represented Canada at the Junior World Championships in 2014 when the event was staged in Edmonton.
Emy enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022 where she ratlted off four podium finishes on the Americas Triathlon Cup series in addition to two, top-12 finishes on the World Triathlon Championship Series. Emy also finished 10th at her first Commonwealth Games. Emy represented Canada at the 2023 Pan American Games where she was part of the bronze-medal winning relay team, and placed sixth in the women’s individual race.
Her favourite course is Hamburg, Germany where she loves the technical bike course. It was here she posted a career-best 10th-place finish on the World Triathlon Championship Series in 2022.
