Sasha is a proud Canadian and a lifelong athlete. She grew up competing in triathlon across Ontario for over a decade, participating in the Ontario Summer Games, Canada Summer Games, Pan American Triathlon Confederation Championships (PATCO) and ultimately the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Paralympic Games. While competing in triathlon, Sasha attended the University of Guelph, competing on the varsity swim team and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Following her retirement from competition and graduation, Sasha began working as an engineer and project manager for pipeline and natural gas station projects at Enbridge Gas. She continues to work full-time as a Change Management Advisor at Enbridge Gas where she supports business-wide system alignment, while ensuring continuity and efficiency for consumers. Outside of work, Sasha leads club Paratriathlon Ontario, the province’s only sanctioned paratriathlon club, with a mission to grow the sport and advocate for athletes with a disability. She believes passionately that triathlon is a sport for life and works to ensure it is inclusive and accessible to all. She is committed to being a strong role model and supportive parent to her three young children, showing the value of resilience, equity and lifelong active living.
