Situé dans la magnifique ville de Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, le Centre national de performance de Triathlon Canada est notre centre d’excellence pour les triathlètes canadiens de haute performance qui évoluent dans les voies olympique ou paralympique. 

En partenariat et avec le soutien de la Ville de Victoria, À nous le podium, 94 Forward, Sport Canada, l’Institut canadien du sport du Pacifique, Saanich Commonwealth Place et le Pacific Institute of Sport Excellence (PISE), Triathlon Canada a structuré et centralisé le Centre national de performance (CNP) à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique.

Le CNP utilise des installations d’entraînement de calibre mondial et du personnel spécialisé en sciences du sport dans le milieu d’entraînement quotidien. De plus, le CNP partage cet environnement unique avec d’autres centres nationaux de renommée mondiale, soit ceux de Natation Canada, Aviron Canada, Athlétisme Canada et Cyclisme Canada. Ce modèle communautaire intégré favorise un climat de haute performance unique qui propulse une masse critique d’athlètes et d’entraîneurs olympiques et paralympiques.

L’Académie du Centre national de performance

En raison de la demande constante de milieux d’entraînement quotidien de haute performance, Triathlon Canada instaure également l’Académie du Centre national de performance de Triathlon Canada à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique. L’Académie offrira aux meilleurs jeunes athlètes canadiens de la prochaine génération un milieu d’entraînement quotidien de calibre mondial tout au long de leurs années de développement fondamental.

L’entraîneur adjoint du CNP, Marc-Antoine Christin, travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l’entraîneur-chef du CNP, Jono Hall, pour offrir un milieu de performance quotidien axé sur l’évolution des athlètes sur la voie vers le podium de Triathlon Canada. Les installations de calibre mondial, le soutien et l’encadrement seront les mêmes pour l’Académie que pour le Centre national de performance.

Jono Hall


National Performance Centre

One of the top triathlon minds on the planet, Jono Hall has been transforming aspiring triathletes into Olympic heroes for the last two decades.

Australian-born Jono Hall took over as head coach of Triathlon Canada’s National Performance Centre in Victoria in 2015. Focusing on developing the next generation of elite performers, Jono leads the coaching delivery and podium pathway for Canada’s top-level triathletes.Jono was the head triathlon coach at the Victorian Institute of Sport in Australia for seven years, and served as an assistant coach with Triathlon Australia’s national program, where he guided several elite athletes to the Olympic and World Championship podiums. As performance leader for United States Triathlon from 2012 to 2015, he played a key role in transforming its program into one of the best in the world.

As a Level 3 high-performance coach, Jono brings extensive coaching and leadership experience from major international Games: he was an assistant coach with Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, coached at the 2012 Olympics in London and the 2008 Games in Beijing and took on the role of team leader for Canada at the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio.

Jono is a proven performer, combining innovation and strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the systems and structures required for long-term athlete development and a constant drive to achieve sustainable results. He excels at building world-leading coaching strategies, developing young athletes into champions, team building and international sport relations. Above all, Jono prides himself on achieving excellence both on and off the field of play.

Carolyn Murray


As a high-performing athlete and award-winning coach, Carolyn Murray uses perseverance, experience and insight to guide elite athletes on the road to success.

Carolyn became a coach after an outstanding 15-year triathlon career which included five straight World Championship competitions from 2004 to 2008 and a first-place finish at the 2008 World Cup in Richards Bay, SA. That same year, she competed at the Beijing Olympics, finishing in the top 30.With her competition days behind her, Carolyn turned her hand to coaching the sport she loves. She obtained her NCCP certification at the National Training Centre and was appointed head coach for Canada’s first-ever Para-triathlon squad in 2014. Carolyn also holds a BSc. in Kinesiology and is a registered acupuncturist.

Carolyn has coached around the world, guiding many young Canadian triathletes to countless major international events including the World Championships and Paralympics. She was responsible for leading three Para-triathletes to the sport’s Paralympic debut at the 2016 Games in Rio where Canada’s Stefan Daniel won a silver medal in the men’s standing classification.

Carolyn’s coaching philosophy has been built around four key words: intent, perseverance, patience and communication. Staying true to these four key words in her daily training environment has resulted in numerous awards and accolades, including the 2015 Triathlon Canada Elite Coach of the Year, 2015 Sport BC Female Coach of the Year, 2016 Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award and 2016 Triathlon Canada Elite Coach of the Year.
