Growing up in Manitoba and enjoying kids triathlon races as a child, Brault began high-performance triathlon racing in 2006 before moving to Quebec and then Australia for the final three years of her career that was highlighted by five, top-15 finishes on the World Triathlon Series. In addition to hitting the start line in Rio, her career-best showing was a fourth-place finish at a World Triathlon Series race in Auckland, New Zealand in 2016. Brault also celebrated two podium performances on the World Cup, and competed for Canada at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
A high achiever – both on the playing field and in the classroom – the Quebec City resident graduated with a Finance and Economics degree at West Virginia University where she was part of the cross-country running team. She is currently taking her Masters in Finance at McGill University.
Brault also gives back to the next generation of summer sport athletes by doing some coaching. She also enjoys participating in a variety of summer and winter sports recreationally.
