After graduating high school, Marianne was off to California after accepting a scholarship to the track and field program at San Diego State University. Marianne lived in San Diego for five years where she completed her Masters in Business Administration while also competing in 10 kilometre running. Her personal best time was a 35:19.

Upon graduation, Marianne fell in love with trail running and joined the Salomon running team which she continues to enjoy today. Marianne has competed against some of the top runners in the world trail running in Canada and in the World Mountain Running Championships.

Marianne was approached by Triathlon Canada’s Para program in 2019 when she joined the squad to guide Jessica Tuomela. Marianne and Jessica enjoyed great success last year.
