With his ultimate goal to represent Canada at the 2020 Olympics Summer Games, Alexis has enjoyed a steady development into an elite triathlete. Training with the Rouge et Or Triathlon Club while balancing his academic and athletic life, Alexis was the 2013 Junior Canadian Champion. Since September 2018 he has been working towards completing his Master of Business Management at Laval University.

Now in his seventh season on Triathlon Canada’s National Team, Alexis enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2019 where he celebrated his first career World Cup podium when he finished third following a thrilling sprint finish in Chengdu. He also anchored Canada’s silver-medal winning mixed relay squad at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

In November 2015 he was chosen Elite Triathlete-of-the-Year in Quebec after he was the first and only Quebec male to race a World Triathlon Series event. In November 2012, he was chosen as the Male Athlete-of-the-Year by Triathlon Quebec after he became the first, and only, athlete in the history of the Quebec Games to win four medals in three different disciplines (triathlon, cross-country running and cycling). Equally important, he finished second overall on the 2012 Teck Canadian National Junior Series sparking Triathlon Canada to select him for Canada’s World Junior Championship squad last fall in New Zealand.

Alexis represented Canada at the elite World Championship race in Lausanne, Switzerland last year. He has also toed the line at the Under-23 World Championships in Chicago, Cozumel, and Edmonton in 2014. He was part of Canada’s Junior World Championship Teams in 2013 and 2012.
